Films Force Change is a proposed new charity film fund which would enable dynamic and engaging documentary and fictions films, which raise awareness of injustice, inequality and wrong doing and promote a greater understanding of the world, to reach the widest global audience, through strategic support for completion, campaigns, profile, outreach and focused calls to action.
Set
up and managed by the producers of Mugabe
and The White African, which was shortlisted for an Oscar Nomination, BAFTA Nominated and won
the prestigious Prix Italia, Grierson and British Independent Film Awards this fund, once open, will support films that strive to make a difference, to
engage and encourage social change for good by empowering audiences, around the
world, to become involved and take action. Donors and fund supporters will have an
opportunity to meet the film makers, their subjects and actors where possible,
and participate in special film events with great movies that invoke debate and
insight and which act as a call to involvement with the stories to bring about
change for good.
We will be making further announcments in the next few months about how the scheme will work.
